Minneapolis NBC affiliate KARE has announced the addition of sports guy Cory Hepola to its news team.
Hepola will join co-anchor Kim Insley, weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on “KARE 11 News Sunrise.”
“Cory is a team player with a dynamic and energetic style for our morning audience,” said KARE news director Jane Helmke. “He is a dedicated, creative journalist and hometown guy who can’t wait to get started and contribute to his community.”

Hepola previously worked at Comcast SportsNet in Houston, where he was a sports anchor, host and reporter.
Hepola begins his new position in mid-April.
