Meteorologist Kaitlyn McGrath is joining Tegna’s Washington, D.C. CBS affiliate WUSA.
McGrath made the announcement on social media by saying she’s leaving NBC owned station WVIT on Oct. 1. Currently, she’s the 11 a.m. meteorologist for the Hartford, Conn. station. She also contributes to the evening newscasts with reports on weather, climate and environment related stories.
“After 6 wonderful years in Connecticut, I’m heading to DC!” she wrote on Twitter. “I am thrilled to announce that I will be joining the team at @wusa9 in the fall.”
