Closing Arguments in KNBC Age Discrimination Lawsuit Set for Thursday

By Kevin Eck

Thursday, a Los Angeles Superior Court will hear the closing arguments in the Frank Snepp age discrimination lawsuit.

Snepp is seeking $1.3 million in punitive and compensatory damages from KNBC for wrongful termination. He was 69 at the time he was fired from the NBC-owned station.

He worked at KNBC from 2006 until 2012 as an investigative producer and reporter. He claims he was told by news director Steve Carlston his position was being eliminated even though, Snepp claims, KNBC continued producing investigative stories with three of its younger staff producers.
