Cleveland Set to See a Familiar Face Back on Mornings

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

In Cleveland, Danita Harris is moving to mornings after 15 years at night on WEWS.

“I always loved working mornings and helping Clevelanders start their day with a smile,” said Harris of the change. “My time on Good Morning Cleveland years ago was a joy, and I look forward to energizing our viewers along with Katie and Trent.”

Harris will join co-anchor Katie Ussin and meteorologist Trent Magill.

While it’s new for now, this isn’t a first for Harris. She co-anchored Good Morning Cleveland from 2000 to 2006 before joining the 6 p.m. After that, she took over the 5, 6 and 11 alongside co-anchor Rob Powers.

The new shift begins March 23.
