Cleveland Fox Affiliate Posts Less, Engages More to Lead in Social

By Kevin Eck

Tribune’s Cleveland Fox affiliate WJW managed to lead social in the market from December 26 to January 25, despite losing ground and posting less content than competing stations.

According to Share Rocket, WJW pulled a 48 share, a drop of 7 percent over the last 30 days, and doubled the amount of engagement despite posting a third less content than NBC affiliate WKYC (27 share) and CBS affiliate WOIO (16 share).

Share Rocket says the WJW Facebook page has more than double the audience of any of the other three stations it tracks in the market.

WJW anchor Stefani Schaefer was the individual leader in the market with a 1.4 Share. Her Instagram page accounted for 66 percent of her engagement. Schaefer, who has the largest Facebook audience of any individual in the Cleveland market, was third in share among individuals on Facebook.

All four Cleveland stations had individuals in the top 10. WOIO talent held five of the top 10 spots, WJW and WKYC each claimed two spots, and WEWS had one.
