The Sarasota City Commission will honor former WWSB news anchor Heidi Godman by proclaiming Heidi Godman Day within the City of Sarasota.
The proclamation, signed by the entire City Commission, will be read by Mayor Kelly Kirschner and presented to Ms. Godman during the City Commission meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 1565 First Street.

Ms. Godman joined the WWSB news team in 1988 and worked as a general assignment reporter and evening news anchor covering a variety of significant issues within the City of Sarasota including the construction of the Ritz Carlton, the redevelopment of downtown in the 1990’s and the razing of the John Ringling Towers.
