Cincinnati’s Clyde Gray Returns to Local TV

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

A former WCPO news anchor is coming back from retirement.

Clyde Gray will host a half hour version of the lifestyle show called Cincy Lifestyle weekdays at 10a.m. Since June, it’s aired on Thursdays the last 15 minutes of the station’s daily newscast.

“I’m excited about hosting this show, because it’s a radical departure for me after four decades of news. It allows me to stretch and develop new muscles and at the same time have fun,” said Gray in a station announcement.

Gray was once one of the most recognized African Americans on television in Cincinnati.

The Scripps owned station says the show will provide “informative, useful and entertaining content” about Greater Cincinnati.

Gray originally stepped down as a news anchor at 59 after 33 years in television.
