Cincinnati Station Moves AM Anchor to Evenings

By Kevin Eck

WXIX anchor Rob Williams is moving to evenings after 18 years.

Williams has anchored mornings for the Cincinnati Fox affiliate since 1998. He’ll rejoin Tricia Macke starting March 14.

Macke and Williams started working together in 1995 when both were weekend evening anchors. They were moved to mornings three years later.

“They thought that Tricia and I had chemistry, and they moved us to mornings,” Williams told John Kiesewetter. “I went kicking and screaming. I don’t like getting up the mornings.”

Dan Wells will replace Williams on the morning show.
