Chris Hush Joins WTVJ Miami as Weekend Anchor

Chris Hush is joining Miami NBC owned station WTVJ as a weekend anchor and weekday reporter.

Hush comes from sister station WMAQ in Chicago where he worked as a reporter for 6 years. His on-air anchoring debut will be on September 3.

“We are excited to welcome Chris to our NBC 6 news team,” said Dawn Clapperton, vice president of News for NBC 6. “Chris is a talented storyteller and will be a great addition to our team.”

Before working in Chicago, Hush spent two years as a reporter at WESH in Orlando. During his time there he covered the Pulse nightclub massacre, which at the time was the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. Hush has also worked for the local NBC affiliates in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Elmira, New York and interned for NBC’s the Today Show and WRC in Washington, D.C.
