Former Chicago sports anchor, Rafer Weigel, is returning to his hometown market.
He has been named the weekend anchor for FOX 32.
“Rafer is a true Chicagoan and a talented journalist who will make a great addition to the FOX 32 team,” said vice president and news director, Matt Piacente.

Most recently Weigel worked as an anchor at KTVI in St. Louis. Prior to that he was the weekend sports anchor-reporter for WLS in Chicago and sports anchor for HLN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade.
Earlier in his career he worked for KOVR and KUSI.
Weigel starts September 1.
