Chicago Sports Anchor Calls Trump ‘Cartoon Lunatic’

By Kevin Eck

WLS sports anchor Mark Giangreco responded to a tweet about Donald Trump by saying America has been exposed as a country full of “simpletons” and by also calling Trump a “cartoon lunatic.”

Giangreco was responding to a tweet by Toronto Star sports columnist Bruce Arthur who wrote, “Donald Trump: a hateful ignorant corrupt simpleton supported by 87% of Republicans.”

“So obvious, so disturbing,” wrote Giangreco. “America exposed as a country full of simpletons who allowed this cartoon lunatic to be ‘elected.'”

Giangreco also recently responded to a Curt Schilling tweet about CNN in which Shilling suggested the network should change its name to Liberal Propaganda News Network. Giangreco responded by saying Fox News should change its name to Nazi News.

We asked WLS for comment, but have not heard back. Giangrego is a legend in Chicago TV sports. He’s been sports director at ABC-owned WLS since 1994, after spending the previous 12 years at NBC-owned WMAQ.
