TVSpy is hearing Fox-owned station WFLD is adding an anchor and a meteorologist.
Sources tell us former WLS meteorologist Mike Caplan is joining the station. He spent 21 of his 30 years in the industry at the ABC-owned station before being pushed out in June. No word where he’ll land on the WFLD schedule.
We hear the station has also hired Scott Schneider from Cincinnati Fox affiliate WXIX. Sources tell us he may report for the station and work as weekend anchor.

Schneider was named an evening anchor at WXIX in July 2013. He started there in May after working in Youngstown, Ohio for 14 years.
