Chicago anchor Dan Ponce is happy to have his family back on U.S. soil.

Ponce’s in-laws were stranded on a quarantined cruise ship in Tokyo after hundreds of passengers tested positive for coronavirus.

“FINALLY BACK IN AMERICA. My in-laws have landed safely in Texas after a stressful quarantine on board the Diamond Princess ship in Japan. I’m so thankful they’re back in the USA and so far have no symptoms,” the WGN anchor said on Twitter.

His in-laws were stuck on the ship with thousands of others, fearing the virus could spread.

Ponce said passengers will be quarantined in Texas for two weeks as a precaution.
