Chicago Anchor Questions Remake of Boston Station’s Logo

By Kevin Eck

WGN morning anchor Larry Potash gave Chicago viewers a glimpse at the many layered birthday cake that is his mind recently, when he let everyone know what he thought about a logo from a station almost a thousand miles away.

Potash criticized the logo redesign of Boston Fox affiliate WFXT, then questioned the station letting popular anchor Maria Stephanos go, and than redesigning a logo to get people to watch, which in turn was a message to his management that people watch the anchors and not the graphics.

“Management thinks this is what is going to bring the eyeballs in, after they got rid of the anchor that everyone likes,” said Potash. “Again, news management it’s about the faces, remember that.”
