Longtime KGO anchor Cheryl Jennings said goodbye to the ABC-owned station’s anchor desk today at the end of the Midday newscast.
Jennings, who started at the station in 1979, says she is not retiring. She’s moving to a new role producing and reporting special projects.

“It’s been an extraordinary privilege to have your trust for all these years,” said Jennings. “I get to work with the best people in the business, so I feel very fortunate to continue my work in a different arena. So, I’m not going to say goodbye. I’ll say so long for now. I’ll see you next time right here on ABC7 News.”
