Charlottesville, Va. CBS affiliate WCAV has made some changes to its anchor lineup.

Weekend anchor and reporter Carly Haynes will join Ric Young weekdays as co-anchor of the 4 p.m. newscast—and anchor/news director Dan Schutte for the 10 p.m. newscast on Fox Virginia.

Reporter Sarah Robinson will replace Haynes as weekend anchor and reporter.

“Carly and Sarah exemplify the best of CBS19. I am extremely pleased their dedication is being rewarded with these new assignments,” said WCAV general manager Mark Kurtz. “I know they will continue to make a difference here at the station and out in the community.”

Haynes joined the station in June 2020 and has anchored the weekend evening newscasts for the past year. She also has her own franchise, called Contact Carly, where she digs into neighborhood issues in the Central Virginia area.

Robinson joined the station in November 2020 and has been working as the nightside reporter on weeknights, focusing on local government. She is also the current Miss Greater Charlottesville and will be competing in the Miss Virginia competition later on this year.
