Charlotte’s WBTV announced this week that it has entered into a news partnership with the Carolina Weekly Newspaper network, which publishes community newspapers throughout the state.
Through the new agreement, WBTV will share content with the newspaper network on all platforms, including TV. Reporters from the Carolina Weekly Newspaper network will make regular appearances on WBTV to discuss the news and the CBS-affiliate’s news team will provide stories for print.
“WBTV and the Carolina Weekly Newspapers are dedicated to the individual communities that make the Charlotte area one of the best places to live in the nation,” said Dennis Milligan, WBTV’s news director.
