Charlotte ND Returning to Houston, WWOR Station Manager to Help Out in Interim

wjzy-wmyt logo_304x200WJZY-WMYT news director Geoff Roth has announced he’s leaving the Charlotte FOX owned station and going back to KRIV in Houston.

A station spokesperson told TVSpy WWOR station manager Dianne Doctor will help out the newsroom while the station looks for a news director. Doctor will continue in her role as station manager of the New Jersey MyTV affiliate.

Roth came to Charlotte from FOX owned KRIV when FOX took over the Charlotte station in 2013. He is going back in the newly created position of managing editor.

He’s been news director at KSEE and KMPH in Fresno, Calif., WFTX in Fort Myers, Fla., KSWB in San Diego, Calif., KSTU in Salt Lake City, Utah, and WRIC in Richmond, Va.
