Tim Spears is joining the South Bend, Ind. ABC affiliate WBND.
Spears, who come from Spectrum News in Charlotte, N.C., will begin anchoring full-time next month.
“I’m taking my talents to South Bend. Excited to join @ABC57News to anchor the evenings and help lead the investigative unit,” Spears wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to everyone who made this possible, especially those who supported me in Charlotte. I hope you stick along for the ride!”

WBND anchors Brian Conybeare and Tiffany Salameh welcomed Spears in an on-set segment where they talked about his move north and his grilling talents.
