WJBK, the FOX owned station in Detroit, has named Charlie Langton weekend morning anchor. Langton will join Amy Andrews and Taryn Asher on the anchor desk.
Langton will continue to co-host the public affairs show, “Let It Rip,” and provide legal analysis on various weekday newscasts. Langton replaces Jay Towers, who now anchors weekdays from 6:00 to 9:00 a.m.
“Charlie brings a unique energy to his legal analysis, anchoring and street reporting. He has deep connections within this community and we are thrilled to bring him aboard as a full time member of the FOX 2 news team,” said vice president and news director Kevin Roseborough.
Langton joined WJBK in 2007 as a legal analyst and is a practicing lawyer. Prior to WJBK, he worked at WYUR-AM as a political-legal talk show host.
