The local expansion of CBSN continues…

CBS’s OTT network has launched in Denver, a little over a year after CBSN New York debuted. Since then, the company has rolled out local versions in L.A., Boston, San Fran, Minnesota and Philadelphia.

CBSN Denver is the seventh CBS station to launch the direct-to-consumer streaming news service.

“CBS 4 does a terrific job of ‘covering Colorado first.’ As the state prepares to hold its first presidential primary in two decades, this is a perfect time to broaden the reach of the station’s award-winning news coverage by launching CBSN Denver,” said Peter Dunn, president, CBS Television Stations. “The response to our first six launches is exceeding our expectations, and we look forward to seeing this trend continue in Denver and the six other markets where we will be rolling out these OTT services in the near future.”

“All of us here at CBS 4 are excited to have this tremendous opportunity to serve the rising demand for streaming news content by debuting CBSN Denver,” said Walt DeHaven, vp and gm, KCNC. “Having the ability to provide our coverage of local and state news to viewers here in Colorado and across the country whenever and wherever they want is something we are embracing as a key driver of our future success.”

CBSN Denver is available through CBSN, on CBSNews.com and on the CBS News apps for mobile and connected TV devices. In addition, the service is available through www.CBSDenver.com and the CBS Local mobile app.
