Court Passant has been named vp of affiliate marketing for CBS Affiliate Relations and CBS Television Networks Distribution.
“Presently, as the Executive Director of Broadcast Marketing, Court has done a tremendous job strengthening the relationship between CBS News, Newspath, the CBS broadcasts and our affiliate newsrooms around the country,” Marsha Cooke, vp of CBS News Services, told staff in an email. “In addition, he’s helped Newspath enter the expanding world of social media in its business operations.”
His first official day is Monday.
He joined CBS in 1992 as a producer for Up to the Minute. He’s also worked at Logo for MTV Networks. Passant started his career in local TV by working in South Bend, Ind., Albany, N.Y., and Louisville, Ky.
