CBS Minneapolis News Director Fired

WCCO news director, Mike Caputa, has been fired at six years on the job.

According to the Star Tribune, Caputa was let go from the CBS-owned station in Minneapolis this week.

“They decided to make a change,” he told the paper Wednesday.

The paper says the station put up a post for the job opening on Tuesday. The station’s general manager, Ann Ouellette, could not be reached for comment.

Caputa says he doesn’t have any immediate plans but hopes to stay in the area.
