News anchor Genelle Padilla worked her first day at KSBY in San Luis Obispo, Calif., this morning.

“I am beyond excited and honored to be a part of the number one station in the market,” said Padilla, who last worked at KCOY in Santa Maria, Calif. “The Central Coast is an extraordinary place to live and I am grateful for this opportunity to deepen my roots here.  I’m looking forward to growing both professionally and personally at KSBY, as well as raising my family in this wonderful and welcoming community.”

Padilla is co-anchoring the morning newscast with Neil Hebert and Brooke Martell.
