WKBW MMJ Lilia Wood was hit by a car while working on a story yesterday.

Wood, who joined the Buffalo, N.Y. station a few months ago, was on the sidewalk across from Erie County Medical Center on Monday afternoon when a driver ran a stop sign and struck another vehicle, police say. The impact of the crash pushed the vehicles onto the sidewalk, hitting Wood.

The station said she was taken to Erie County Medical Center, where she is recovering.
