Bill Cummings Out as News Director At WICU

Bill Cummings is no longer news director at WICU-WSEE.

EVP John Christiansontold TVSpy, Cummings recently resigned from the Erie, Pa. NBC and CBS station.

A check of the station’s website shows assistant news director Tim Mello is listed as news director. Mello told TVSpy he was named news director at the beginning of September, but didn’t take over until October 13.

Mello started his career at WICU in August 2010. He is a graduate of Waynsesburg University.

Before coming to WICU in 2012, he worked at KSWT in Yuma, Ariz. He has also worked in Tucson, Evansville, Ind., Huntington, W. Va and the Tri-Cities, Tenn.
