Bart Feder Named SVP of News at Tribune

BartFeder2Veteran network and local news executive Bart Feder is joining Tribune Broadcasting as senior vice president of news, the company announced today.

He will be responsible for overseeing all news operations and production for Tribune’s 42 owned or operated stations.

Although Feder most recently worked at CNN as senior vice president of current programming, he has a long history in local news. He began his career at 1010 WINS radio and went on to work as a news writer at CBS Radio and New York CW affiliate WPIX. He was also a producer at WNEV (now WHDH) in Boston and WOR in New York.

Feder later held executive management positions at New York ABC-owned station WABC, Boston NBC affiliate WHDH, Jacksonville Independent station WJXT and Sacramento CBS-owned station KOVR.

“Bart has a long history of successful newsroom leadership and digital innovation,” said Larry Wert, Tribune’s president of broadcast media. “We are excited to have a content visionary of Bart’s caliber joining our team.”

Feder begins his new position on March 2.
