A Good Day Tampa anchor had a wild experience over the weekend.
A baby osprey fell out of its nest and into Laura Moody’s backyard. It was injured but because it’s a protected species in Florida, you can’t touch the animal.
Moody and her husband contacts the local authorities to come rescue it.

When the rescuers arrived they collected the bird and they would help it recover then return it to its home in Moody’s backyard. She said the mother Osprey watched from her perch in the tree above the entire time.
