Sophia Beausoleil has joined Houston NBC affiliate KPRC as a freelance reporter.
Beausoleil had worked at KXAN in Austin, Texas since November 2012. The move was first reported by Houston media blogger Mike McGuff.
“Super excited to announce that I’ve joined the @kprc2 news team in Houston as a freelance reporter,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m super excited to be back in my hometown and to report in the community I grew up in. I am ALWAYS looking for story ideas, so feel free to send ’em my way!”

She started her career at KOMU in Columbia, Mo as an MMJ before working at WCIA in Champaign, Illinois.
