WAGT-TV
Media General and Schurz Communications announced that they have signed definitive agreements under which Media General’s ABC affiliate here, WJBF-TV, will provide Schurz’s NBC affiliate here, WAGT-TV, with sales, local news and other operational services starting in January 2010.
The agreements follow a Letter of Intent signed on October 6. The agreements include a Joint Sales Agreement and a Shared Services Agreement.
WAGT will continue to manage programming other than local news as well as its obligations required under its FCC license. WJBF will use WAGTs nearby facility to provide the services to WAGT while WJBF completes expansion of its facility.
Once the renovations are complete, WJBF will use its expanded facility to operate WJBF and provide the services to WAGT. More…
