Austin, Tx. NBC affiliate KXAN has promoted Haley Cihock to news director.
Cihock started her career with the Nexstar owned station in 1999 and has been the assistant news director since 2016. She takes over for Chad Cross, who left for CBS News and Stations to lead its new innovation lab.
“Haley has proven herself as a top performer in the KXAN newsroom for 23 years, including the past five years as assistant news director,” said Eric Lassberg, KXAN vice president and general manager. “She embodies KXAN’s core values, understands and executes our brand promise on a daily basis and is without a doubt the best person to continue KXAN’s winning ways and lead our newsroom to even greater performance.”
