As Cincinnati’s WCPO Automates Studio, Jobs Could Be Cut

WCPO-TV will automate studio and control room operations this spring in a move that could eliminate more than a dozen Channel 9 engineering and production jobs.

Bill Fee, vice president and general manager, told staffers about the changes Thursday.

“In March 2011, the WCPO studio and control room operations will be going to the kind of automated system that is becoming more prevalent as stations across the country enhance their digital technology,” Fee said Friday. More…
