Arthur Hasson has been named general manager of WHP, Sinclair’s CBS affiliate in Harrisburg, Pa. He will also oversee WLYH, the CW affiliate operated by Sinclair.
Hasson is a former executive vice president of NBC Universal, where he worked from 1990-2005. Since 2006, he has been president of MultiPlatform Distribution Company, a producer and distributor of television programming.
“Arthur’s background in television distribution, as well as his experience in integrating social media, offers Sinclair a unique opportunity to utilize his talents both on a local and company-wide level,” Sinclair COO Steve Marks said in a statement. “We look forward to incorporating Arthur’s creative spirit in the stations’ consumer and viewer outreach.”
Hasson replaces Holly Steuart, who was released last month after Sinclair took ownership of WHP.
