Arkansas Anchor Loses Husband in Tragic Accident

40-29 News anchor Yuna Lee suffered a horrible loss this week.

Her husband, Michael “Doc” Thompson, was hit by a train Tuesday while out jogging in Dallas. Thompson, who is a former WHIO reporter, worked as a radio host in Dallas and commuted often to Northwest Arkansas, where Lee and his two sons lived.

“As you can imagine it is difficult for her to comprehend everything that has happened as well as everything that needs to be done. We will follow Yuna’s lead on when she needs our help and I know that her work family will love and support her through this,” station president Shawn Oswald said.

Thompson was 49. His co-workers in Dallas have set up a GoFundMe account in the family’s name. Funeral services have yet to be set.
