Aristea Brady Joins KDVR From WCCO

brady_wcco_304Aristea Brady is joining KDVR, the Fox affiliate in Denver, as co-anchor of the 10 p.m. newscast. She comes from WCCO, the CBS-owned station in Minneapolis, where she has been a reporter and anchor for three years.

“She is a familiar face to many of you and to the Denver audience, having worked as a reporter and weekend morning anchor at KUSA several years ago before leaving for Minnesota,” KDVR news director Ed Kosowski wrote in a note to station staff last week. “Aristea is a Colorado native who was born and raised in Englewood. She has a large extended family in Craig on the Western Slope, where they operate a ranch and where she spent summers herding cattle and sheep before pursuing her career in journalism.”

Brady will anchor the 10 p.m. newscast alongside Boris Sanchez. She will also report during the week.

Aristea Brady is joining KDVR-KWGN as an anchor/reporter, effective next week.

She is a familiar face to many of you and to the Denver audience, having worked as a reporter and weekend morning anchor at KUSA several years ago before leaving for Minnesota.

Aristea is a Colorado native who was born and raised in Englewood. She has a large extended family in Craig on the Western Slope, where they operate a ranch and where she spent summers herding cattle and sheep before pursuing her career in journalism.

For the past three years, Aristea has been an anchor/reporter at WCCO, the CBS O&O in Minneapolis. She covered a broad range of stories there, including breaking news, in-depth enterprise reports and health news.

Before WCCO and KUSA, Aristea held both morning and evening anchor positions at KTVX, the ABC affiliate in Salt Lake City. She also worked as a reporter at WKYT, the CBS affiliate in Lexington while in college.

Aristea is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, where she doubled majored in broadcast journalism and legal studies. She has won several Emmy awards for her reporting and anchoring in Salt Lake City and Minneapolis.

When Aristea arrives on Wednesday, April 30 she will co-anchor our 10pm newscast with Boris Sanchez and report for other shows. Please welcome her home to Colorado!
