Anthony Ponce Joins Fox 32 Chicago

He made news when he left NBC 5 in Chicago to drive a Lyft and start a podcast called ‘Backseat Driver’, where he interviews passengers about a variety of topics.

Now Anthony Ponce is joining Fox 32 Chicago as a Good Day co-anchor.

He will co-anchor with Natalie Bomke from 4-6a.m. and a video version of his podcast will air during 7-9a.m. hours.

Ponce was an anchor at WMAQ for nine years until he left in 2016.

Prior to that he worked for WISH-TV in Indianapolis and WANE-TV in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He’s a graduate of Indiana University and Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism.
