In an email obtained by TVSpy, WLTZ GM Drew Rhodes told staffers, “We are looking to continue to grow our local shows and our news product as well as ratings. We know that Andrea will help us do that, and we are excited to have her join the hardest working news team in the market!”

Here is the GM’s email:

Dear WLTZ Staff,
It is my pleasure to announce that Andrea Clenney will be joining our team as News Director. Her first day will be Tuesday, December 2nd.

Andrea has worked for a number of years in various television news departments, and we are delighted to welcome her to the WLTZ team. She is presently the News Director for WCJB-TV (ABC) in Gainesville, FL. And, since I know you’ll want to know where her football allegiance lies, she is a Florida Gator.

We are looking to continue to grow our local shows and our news product as well as ratings. We know that Andrea will help us do that, and we are excited to have her join the hardest working news team in the market! Please join me in welcoming Andrea to our station.

Thanks for all you do!

Drew
