Anchor Tom Sinkovitz has left San Francisco’s KNTV after three years with the NBC O&O.
Sinkovitz has worked in the Bay Area for nearly two decades. He was a reporter-anchor with KRON before joining KNTV, where he had been anchoring the 5 p.m. newscast.
“I agreed a couple months ago to anchor the five only through the end of February,” Sinkovitz tells Bay Area media blogger Rich Lieberman. “In a few weeks time, the station and I will be discussing other avenues. For now, I’m looking forward to life without the daily commute.”

Sinkovitz’s final day was last Friday.
