Anchor Pamela Jones Out at WBBM

By Aneya Fernando

Pamela-JonesChicago media writer Robert Feder reports that Pamela Jones has left Chicago station WBBM. Jones has been a general assignment reporter for the CBS-owned station for almost 10 years.

“It has been a wonderful 9½ years breaking news for WBBM in Illinois and Indiana,” Jones told Feder yesterday. “The Emmy I received for my part in team coverage of a serious crash on I-94 last winter remains a high point of my career. I am looking forward to the next chapter. For now, it’s time for some sun and relaxation.”

WBBM confirmed with Feder that Jones’ contract was not renewed. Prior to joining the station, Jones worked as a fill-in anchor and reporter at Tribune Media news channel CLTV.
