KVVU, the FOX affiliate in Las Vegas, is saying goodbye to anchor Olivia Fierro.
Fierro, who joined the station six years ago as evening anchor, is heading back to Phoenix independent station KTVK, where she previously worked as morning anchor, from January 2003 to April 2009.
Fierro announced the news to her Facebook fans on Monday, writing:
Thank you for tuning in–I couldn’t have asked for better people to share set with than John Huck & Ted Pretty! I have LOVED living in this world-class community, and my son is so lucky to say he’s born in Las Vegas! Later in the month we head back to Arizona– to happily return to work alongside my friends 3TV Phoenix – but carrying some 702 always!!
Fierro’s last day at KVVU was Friday.
There’s no word yet on who will replace her at the station.
