TVSpy has confirmed WXIA, the Tegna-owned NBC affiliate in Atlanta, will be shuffling anchors around.
Starting today, Shiba Russell will move back to the mornings with Chesley McNeil and Crash Clark. She announced the move on her social media accounts over the weekend.
Anchor Cheryl Preheim will move to the 5 and 6pm with Jeff Hullinger. Preheim was previously the morning show anchor.
Melissa Long will continue to anchor the 7 and 10pm shows and later this summer, Vinnie Politan will move to the 11pm. He currently anchors Atlanta Alive.
A Tegna spokesperson says further announcements will be coming over the next few weeks.
