Anchor Kimberly Gill Leaves Pittsburgh for Detroit

static.squarespaceAnchor Kimberly Gill has decided to leave Pittsburgh CBS-owned station KDKA. According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Gill is headed to NBC affiliate WDIV in Detroit, where she will be a reporter and fill-in anchor.

“While this is no doubt a nice opportunity for Kimberly, we will most certainly miss her,” KDKA news director Anne Linaberger said in a statement.

Gill joined KDKA three years ago. She previously worked at ABC affiliate WEWS in Cleveland as a morning news anchor and multimedia journalist.

Gill will anchor her last Pittsburgh newscast November 7.
