KOLN sports director Kevin Sjuts gave a tearful tribute to a Nebraska football player who died over the weekend.
Cornhusker punter Sam Foltz and former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler were killed in a car accident on Saturday night after working at a kicking camp in Wisconsin.
Sjuts says he started covering Foltz while he was in High School. “This past spring, my son’s first grade class had superhero week,” the Lincoln, Nebraska CBS affiliate sports anchor told viewers. “He invited two Huskers players to come to the school. One was Sam Foltz.”
