Anchor Donna Cordova Ends Long Run at KTXL

By Andrew Gauthier

Anchor Donna Cordova has left KTXL after more than a decade with the Sacramento Fox-affiliate. Cordova, who anchored KTXL’s weekday 10 p.m. newscast, did not have her contract renewed.

She posted the following message on her Facebook page, earlier this week:

I’m sorry that so many of you are still just now realizing that I am no longer on the air at FOX40. My contract is not being extended.. simple as that. It comes with the territory. As for the other question.. I will let you know ..as soon as I do.. what path we will be taking next.

Cordova began her TV career as a reporter with KBIM in Roswell, before moving on to anchor jobs at KVII in Amarillo and KTSP (now KSAZ) in Phoenix. While with KTXL, she was named Best Anchor by Sacramento Magazine.
