Anchor Ben Swann Suspended From CBS46 Again

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

CBS46 anchor Ben Swann has been suspended from the Meredith-owned station in Atlanta, again.

According to AJC.com, Swann may have been sidelined for raising money to relaunch his independent investigation series, without approval from WGCL.

On Thursday night, Swann posted a video on Vimeo teasing about an upcoming new project he planned to announce next Tuesday. He only identified himself as an “investigative journalist” and did not reference his ties to CBS46.

The video by Friday morning had been seen more than 2,000 times. After CBS46 learned of the video, he was suspended and the video removed from Vimeo.

TVSpy has reached out to CBS46 for comment. The teaser video still exists on Twitter. You can watch it below.

Last January, TVSpy reported that Swann’s investigative report on the ‘Pizzagate’ conspiracy got him suspended for a week. At the time, he also announced his Truth in Media social page was going dark.

We’ve reported about Swann before. Back in 2013, when he was working for WXIX, he questioned whether the FBI knew about the Boston Marathon bombings.
