Morning anchor/traffic reporter Amber Rupinta is on the move at WTVD. After more than 8 years in the morings at the ABC O&O, Rupinta is moving to the evening news.
“I’m leaving the morning show because I’m going to be anchoring the 4 and 5:30 news,” said Rupinta in a Facebook live video announcing the news yesterday. “I’m kind of ready for a change and to sleep. I will miss the morning a lot. And I’m a little nervous,” she said.
Before joining the morning show in 2004, Rupinta was weekend morning anchor. She came to Raleigh-Durham from Philadelphia. Kim Deaner will fill in on the mornings for now.
