WTEN meteorologist Christina Erne is leaving the station.

The Albany, N.Y., weather personality made the announcement on Facebook.

“After two and a half years of forecasting in the Capital region and beyond, I am stepping away from News 10 at the end of the month. This was a very difficult decision for me, but I will be leaving Albany to move home to family and friends, which is SO incredibly important to me,” she wrote.

She told the Times Union that she’s taken a job at WJAR in Providence, R.I. and she’ll commute from Massachusetts.

Her replacement has not been named.
