Former Albany anchor, Cody Holyoke, is heading to Kansas City, Missouri.
He is heading to KMBC, the Hearst owned ABC affiliate, as a morning anchor.
“Cody is an outstanding journalist and a great fit for our news team,” said Dan O’Donnell, KMBC 9 news director. “His strong reporting has been honored with Emmy, Edward R. Murrow and Associated Press awards. The depth and quality of his reporting and anchoring experience will be a tremendous asset to our morning newscasts.”
Holyoke joins Donna Pitman and meteorologist Nick Bender from 4:30-7am weekday mornings.
Before KMBC, Holyoke was the evening anchor for WRGB-TV in Albany. He also worked as an anchor-reporter for WTMJ in Milwaukee.
The station welcomed him to the team yesterday. Here is the clip.
