After Massive Heart Attack, Harrisburg Anchor Robb Hanrahan Released From Hospital

By Stephanie Tsoflias Siegel

One could call it a miracle.

Harrisburg, Pa., anchor Robb Hanrahan went home over the weekend after suffering a massive heart attack earlier this month that left him in the ICU and on a breathing tube.

As TVSpy has reported, Hanrahan’s wife, Stacey, who is a meteorologist at the same station, WHP, has continued to update viewers about his condition.

Then on Friday she posted a note from Hanrahan himself on her Facebook page.

From the precipice of death, today came rather unexpectedly. With all your prayers and love, the fantastic cardiology and other teams at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg hospital (more on them later), I am able to report that I have been released from the hospital to recover at home with my loving family. The last week or so have been the most challenging of my life. Last Wednesday morning I suffered a massive heart attack. Through Devine intervention I was already at the hospital when my heart stopped the first time but the second time I “coded blue” things weren’t looking good. After five stents and two surgeries I am now venturing down what will be a long cognitive, emotional and physical recovery. Your support, well wishes and prayers pulled me through. Thanks from the bottom of my heart. (more on that later, too.)
Much Love, Robb

Hanarahan is 58. He was in the ICU since June 18 and underwent two successful surgeries.

A message from Robb, one never short for words, even after all this 😉From the precipice of death, Today came rather…
