After Leaving KOVR, Anchor Sam Shane Resurfaces on Radio

He spent years on television at a local level in Sacramento, Calif., and at a national level for MSNBC.

Starting April 1, the former KOVR anchor Sam Shane is resurfacing on radio.

“I’m delighted to join Cristina [Mendonsa] and the entire team at News 93.1, KFBK,” Shane said in a statement. “Our show will be packed with engaging, relevant and meaningful stories from around the world—with an emphasis on local events that impact our listeners right here in Northern California. This show will be objective, insightful and smart.”

Shane left KOVR in 2017.
